Terms & of Service
The rules of the road for using WriteRed during the live beta and beyond — in plain English.
§ I. Acceptance
By creating a WriteRed account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service. If you’re using WriteRed on behalf of a campaign, office, or firm, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
§ II. Beta Status
WriteRed is in live beta. That means features ship, change, and occasionally break. There will be downtime. We will push updates without warning. Your feedback is part of the deal — we want it. Some testers are on free beta access; others are on paid plans. Either way, the beta-ness applies.
§ III.Account & Eligibility
- You must be 18 or older.
- You must be located in the United States.
- You must provide accurate information when you sign up.
- You’re responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account.
- The beta is invite-only. Don’t share your invite code or login.
§ IV. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use WriteRed to:
- Harass, threaten, or defame anyone.
- Generate content that’s illegal under US federal or state law.
- Impersonate a real person other than the principal you have actual authority to write for. WriteRed is for writing speeches for principals you represent — not for fabricating words on behalf of people you don’t.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract the agents, prompts, or model outputs.
- Probe the service for vulnerabilities without our written permission.
- Resell or sublicense access to the service.
§ V.Your Content & Ours
You keep ownership of your principal profiles, libraries, riffs, uploaded past speeches, edits, and notes. By using WriteRed, you grant us a limited license to process that content through the agent pipeline (including sending it to Anthropic and Tavily as described in our Privacy Policy) so we can deliver the service.
AI-generated drafts produced for you are your work product to use as you see fit, subject to the AI disclaimer below. We may use aggregated and de-identified usage data — numbers, patterns, performance metrics — to improve the product. We don’t use your speeches or principal data to train models, and we don’t share them with other customers.
§ VI. AI Disclaimer
Drafts produced by WriteRed are starting points, not finished speeches. AI can produce errors. The fact-checker sometimes misses invented references. Phrasing can be awkward. You are responsible for reviewing and editing every draft before your principal delivers it. Never deliver an AI-generated draft from any tool — ours or anyone else’s — without human review.
§ VII. Billing
- Starter is $29/month and includes 3 Quick Drafts plus 2 Full Drafts per month. Overage is $5 per Quick and $15 per Full.
- Pro is $79/month and includes 7 Quick Drafts plus 5 Full Drafts per month. Overage is $4 per Quick and $12 per Full.
- New paid accounts get a 7-day free trial. We capture your card at signup and bill on day 8 unless you cancel.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Beta testers may have free access during the beta period; that access ends at general availability and you’ll be notified before being billed.
- Refunds for failed pipeline runs are automatic. For other refund requests, email matt@writered.app.
§ VIII.Cancellation & Termination
You can cancel any time through the Stripe Billing Portal in your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service. To delete your data after cancellation, email matt@writered.app.
§ IX. Service Changes
We’ll add features, deprecate features, and change pricing over time. For pricing changes that affect you, we’ll give you notice by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
§ X. Warranty Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t guarantee uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. We don’t guarantee that drafts will be free of errors, won’t need editing, or will land the way you want them to land.
§ XI. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WriteRed’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms or your use of the service is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months immediately before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or reputational harm — even if we’ve been advised of the possibility.
§ XII. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WriteRed and its operators from any claim arising out of your use of the service, the content you generate or upload, your principal’s delivered speeches, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third party’s rights.
§ XIII. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
§ XIV. Changes to These Terms
We’ll update these terms as the product evolves. For significant changes, we’ll email everyone with an active account before the change takes effect. Your continued use of WriteRed after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
§ XV. Contact
